Does everyone have the “mullygrubs” on dreary days, or is it just me? I’m sitting here looking out the window on a drizzling rain, cold temperature of 41 degrees, and missing my Daddy. Grief is something that never goes away and 42 years sometimes feels just like yesterday. It was on this day 42 years ago that we said our final earthly good-byes to Daddy but I know that sometime soon he and Mama will welcome me with open arms in Heaven.
Maybe I should explain the “mullygrubs” term I used. While I was living with my aunt in Washington, she taught me this word and it just seems to fit my feelings when I’m down. You know the feeling, I’m sure. It’s when you just can’t seem to settle down to do anything. Of course, the memories of today haven’t helped as well as the weather. But that’s enough about all that sad stuff.
I do apologize for the state of our website. This past year has been a humdinger of a year around here. Not only are we in lock-down (self-imposed) due to Covid-19, my husband has been through months of chemotherapy, two major surgeries, and numerable procedures. This has made it very hard to keep the website current with product. We are working on updating the products as well as connecting it to Facebook and Instagram. Please be patient with us, as it is a challenge for me to figure out this technology. I have been able to make some things during this past year but, with all of the doctor’s appointments, procedures, etc., my hands have not been as busy as they are sometimes. (Not to mention, I also had to take time out for a week's stay in the hospital recovering from surgery in August.)
We will be adding new product in the coming days. Be on the look-out for new pot holders, dish cloths, etc. We are also working on adding plastic canvas items to our shop. This medium is so much fun to do and lends itself to great coasters, tissue box covers, refrigerator magnets and gift card holders, not to mention adorable Christmas tree ornaments and decorations for the entire home. The ornaments can be personalized with names and dates to make memorable items to use for years to come. (My tree is totally decorated with handmade ornaments and it is a 7 foot tree!!)
Remember, Jesus loves you and I do too!! Please be in prayer for our national and local leaders as well as friends and neighbors. And, please always be kind.
